there were 319 new listings yesterday and 116 sales. A Sell/List of 36.36%. Inventory reached 9393 (of which 2498 or 26.59% were over 90s)
On Friday we had 51 new listings and 101 sales, for a sell/list of 198.04%.
Thursday we had 59 new listings and 114 sales, for a sell/list of 193.22%.
Monday we had 45 new listings and 54 sales for a sell/list of 120%.
Current inventory is 8,593, of which 2,924, or 34.03%.

Yesterday there were 116 new listings and 102.59%.
Wednesday there were 211 new listings and 160 sales for a sell/list of 75.83%.

The credit crunch is a funny thing. I don’t think its as straightforward as “US homeowners can’t afford to remortgage, so sell, so prices drop, ergo real estate isn’t safe”. Its not clear to me who have lost more: people in real estate or people in mortgage backed securities that were sold with dubious AAA ratings.
